Diagnosis:
Gun shot fracture of left hand. Musket ball entered palm passing upward and outward and exit between carpal extremity of middle and ring fingers
Treatment:
Cold water dressings by irrigation. Erysipelas in wound and hand. Line iodine 3 or 4 times per day and why[i]skey 4 times per day full diet
Result:
Wound doing well when tranfered to US Genl Hospital, Parkersburg, VA [West Virginia] 1864/09/27
